Failed to enable virtual adapter: Cisco VPN Client error in Windows 8

Find search bar from new right side sliding menu in windows 8.

Type “regedit” in search box and click regedit button.

navigate to the following path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\CVirtA

Modify the DisplayName key like the following image:

Keep only “Cisco Systems VPN Adapter” for 32-bit and “Cisco Systems VPN Adapter for 64-bit Windows” for 64-bit in Value data. Click ok.

Now connect VPN Client.
